One of our regular customers, Deputy Turner Barran of Metairie Louisiana, founded the company Barran's Bears. Barran's Bears is a non-profit that provides lovable teddy bears to police, fire, and EMS departments throughout the state so that they can provide a teddy bear to comfort kids at the scenes of domestic violence, car accidents, house fires and other traumatic events.
In celebration of National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work Day, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office posted a video on their Facebook page showing their partnership with Barran's Bears to have teddy bears in their patrol units to deploy when they meet up with children who are in traumatic situations.
This month, in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month, Barran's bears has donated pink bears to various police departments. Chief Garivey from the Freeport Texas Police (Left) and Officer Rodriguez from the New York Police (Right) posted on their Facebook pages thanking Barran's Bears for the Breast Cancer Awareness Bears, which they would hand out to those who have gone through or currently battling breast cancer.
Be sure to check out more of Barran's Bears activities on their Facebook page.
